Sound Channel
Design

The correct integration of a MEMS microphone is a key point for good sound capture in your product. However, we know that as soon as a microphone is “loaded” with an acoustic path, its frequency response (and more particularly its resonance peak) changes, thus being able to alter the audio band of the signal considered (example of speech key frequencies given below). Relying on Lumped Element (LEM) models, the response of a full microphone system can be properly predicted and adjusted to the application bandwidth.

Testing capabilities

Based on popular techniques involving a reference microphone next to the module under test, Seltech can evaluate the behavior of a bare microphone module as well as the recording function of a complete device. Dedicated ultrasonic sources allow to quantify your system out of the audible bandwidth, when the application requires it.
